About Us

The Swansea Hawks Lacrosse Club was started in 2001, by Coach Tom Echanis, an American who had played lacrosse in the USA and moved here in 1991. Tom started with a couple of kids in Dunvant park ( some of whom are still with us ) since then the club has gone from strength to strength …although we still have a long way to go. Last year the Swansea Hawks Lacrosse Club had their most successful season to date, participating in both West 2 league and the Premiership League. This makes us the most successful lacrosse club in Wales currently.

While the Swansea Hawks Lacrosse Club continue to learn and grow on and off the pitch the real goal is within Development of the sport within the Swansea Area. This will enable us to grow in strength as a club as well as introduce the sport to alot of younger people who may not of had this chance otherwise. We are currently working in a number of schools and already have a number of Welsh U19 players on our books from our development programme.

Player Success Stories

Most players who join the Swansea Hawks Lacrosse Club start of as complete beginners. We have been lucky enough to coach players into the Welsh National Side and Welsh U19 side.

An ex-Swansea Hawks Lacrosse Club player also helped Northen club Wilmslow lift the European Club Lacrosse Championship recently, which was held in Hamburg, Germany.
