| Hawks win 1st Game of Season Swansea Hawks won their first game of the season 9-7 with a battling display against rivals Penarth. The hawks took an early lead through experienced midfielder Dan Wills, who went on to score 4 of Swanseas 9 goals. MVP went to Jesper Norman who put in a commanding display at the heart of the Swansea Hawks Defence. Jesper topped of his performance with a faboulous solo left handed D-pole goal which started with Jesper picking up the ball in his own half, running the length of the field past numerous players before slotting the ball past the Penarth Goalie. It was a battling performance from Swansea who may have ferlt slightly unlucky not to have won more convincingly after a number of goos attacks that didnt provide the all important goals. Swansea will now face Southamption at home which could mean the return of former Hawks player Ben Piper. It could be a close encounter in which Swansea will be hoping the can conquer. |
Friday 30th October, 2009 | Swansea Hawks Winter Training Venue Confirmed The Swansea Hawks are pleased to announce that they will now train at The Dylan Thomas School in Cockett during the winter. Training will start at 6.30pm and finish at 8pm. Training sessions will consist of a 30 minute warm up and 1 hour of drills underneath the floodlights. |
